The make happy club box #11 (WARNING CONTAINS SPOILERS)

Hello,

And happy spring time! This month we are diving into another embroidery project - but this one has a little bit of a twist (quite literally!)

Inspired by the beautiful cherry blossom season in Japan, this months project can only be described as being full of texture and a sense of calm. And whilst it may look slightly intimidating if you don't know how to French knot - never fear because there is a video in this post explaining in detail how to French Knot, as well as how to fix any mistakes. The beauty in a piece of stitching such as this is that because it is slightly abstract you are able to easily hide any mistakes and you will see your French knots dramatically improve as you stitch.

We will be using pre-printed cotton fabric so there will be no need for any tracing - just pop the fabric into your hoop and go! The embroidery thread is DMC so it's high quality, buttery soft and easily divisible into separate strands perfect if you want to alternate the size of your French knots to create a variety of different flowers on your cherry blossom tree.

The design like always will include everything you need to complete this kit in the box. Once stitched you will be able to hang up your design in its hoop to grace your walls as a piece of lovely home décor or gift to a friend. Here is a little video to help you with getting to grips with those tricky french knots!

This month we will be supporting Hope for Justice a charity fighting to end modern slavery. This is an issue that is still very prevalent in our society, from fast fashion to homeware products and people trafficking. and Hope for Justice work to raise awareness and rescue people from harm. We will be donating £3 from every Make Happy Club box sold in March to Hope for Justice via the Work for Good platform.

If you choose to subscribe this month then you will be actively helping the Hope for Justice to bring an end to modern day slavery, through the prevention of exploitation, rescue of victims, restoration of lives and educating society. Whilst also stitching something that will make you feel good too!
